Saturday with the girls!

Saturday, Thomas spent the day with his sister and mother, shopping at the mall and watching the girls get their hair done :) Thomas played on his ipad, watching You Tube videos, while sipping on his Starbuck's frappuccino, during his time in the hair salon! But when it comes to shopping, Thomas was eagerly searching for Angry Birds anything...of course! We walked the mall to find Thomas some school clothes and other necessary purchases :) By the time we had just about finished shopping, we worked up a craving for Auntie Anne's pretzels! Our favorite snack :)

Thomas of course got his usual....Cinnamon pretzel sticks! Super messy and sugary, yet he enjoyed every single bite of it! After a fun filled day we made our way home, but not without stopping by Krispy Kreme to order a dozen assorted donuts to go! I can't say for sure if they made it home, unscathed...that is the donuts :)

First Day of School!

When it comes to school, Thomas is all in! He loves being at school with his friends and teachers, doing his own thing! It's hard to see him off to school, despite he is an expert at it! And when I say hard, I mean for me...mostly because ALL summer long it's been him and I everyday, enjoying our time together, and making memories! Then once he has gone on to school, the missing him kicks in!!! Despite from having the BEST job ever, the days that get cut short, are the ones I dread the most! It's funny how most people love having time off from their job, but for me time off is quite the opposite!

Well the morning of September third, finally arrived. It was a beautiful Tuesday and summer weather still lingering in the air! Thomas decided to wear his "Captain Franks" tshirt -- it's his favorite hotdog place! He was all smiles, ready to see everyone, and ride in the van :) The top three pictures are from day two of school, and the last three are from the actual first day!

Of course the angry birds backpack was filled and ready to be worn! Along with all the necessary school supplies, also included ketchup, lunch money, and angry birds folder/notebook! And off to school he went! Thomas had a great first week back at school! Now we're practically done with week two of school...sorry for the delayed posts!

Keep sticking with us readers! Thomas has a FUN filled week coming up, including his birthday...the BIG 2-0! Thanks for following us! It means the world to share his life journey and message with each one of you!

Beachin' It Up...Day 2!

Another gorgeous day at the beach! The water was 70 degrees and the sun was shining beautiful and bright! Nice weekend vacation and getaway, before the start of school and the end of summer!

Thomas hoola hooped for a free poster, from the girls of WRV :)

Sun, Sand, and Surfing!

We are at the OBX pro surf competition, and they had everyone gather around to give out tshirts and other free stuff! So Thomas is waving his hands all around trying to get something! But we walk away empty handed and disappointed because most people got two things and he couldn't even get one! Next thing you know we are sitting on the beach and a man walks over to us and hands Thomas a Tshirt from the giveaway! He immediately put it on and was over joyed! So thoughtful for a complete stranger to think of him and give him his shirt! Glad to see there is still good found in the world :)

Later on in that day, Thomas wanted to go back over to the tents, to see the award ceremony and the handing out of trophies to the surfers! The same man, whom walked over to Thomas previously and gave him the tshirt, said just wait minute let me go get him a free hat. After Thomas got his hat, the man said, wait here, I will go get the winner of the competition so he can get a picture taken with him! Thomas and I were standing there shocked and overwhelmed by the attention and support from a complete stranger! So the winner, Asher Nolan, gladly comes walking over to Thomas, shakes his hand and asks his name! Thomas greets him and then poses for a picture! Talking about feeling like a celebrity :) Cannot thank Asher and the complete stranger enough for making Thomas's day!

Football Game!

As some of you may know, I am a cheering coach at our local high school! So Friday night, we decided to go and support the Varsity Sideline Cheerleaders and Football Team! A little cheering from the sidelines and chit chatting was our thing! Thomas loves watching the girls cheer and clapping for the boys! It was a beautiful night for football!

Towards the end of the game, Thomas bumped into his classmate, Joseph! All smiles and hugs were exchanged! And of course discussion of the upcoming start of school just a 4 short days away!

Snuggle Time With Daddy!

There is never a better snuggle buddy then dad! And of course as you can tell by the Angry Birds bedding, they have managed to take a snooze in Thomas's bed :) A little afternoon nap to some, but bonding and snuggle time for Thomas with his main man! If there is ever a choice of who Thomas wants to be with, he chooses his "Amanah!"

If your wondering what "Amanah" means, well I cannot fully tell you, but I do know it's the name is which Thomas has given dad, and only him! It's significance can be truly understood in the way in which he says it! It's more than just a word for Thomas, it's his tie to dad :)

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
Psalm 103:13

Home Depot Time!

If you ever want help with any project, Thomas is the BEST helpful assistant and supervisor! On this particular day, we were buying trim for the flooring we were about to lay in our new home! Thomas would help hold the pieces of shoe mold while I cut them into half, to easily transport them home. We then moved onto find our next item on our list.....more flooring supplies!

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Hebrews 13:16

Hair Cut Time!

Who doesn't love to get their hair done?! I know Thomas sure loves getting his hair cut! Since it's almost that time for school again, he needed a clean and fresh hair cut. Although, he tells me, it's for girlfriend Lauren :)! Thomas is getting his hair cut above by the sweet and kind Kelly! And then a photo of the finished product and handsome man! We appreciate those who take time to help Thomas and love him like we do!

P-I-Z-Z-A!

First off, "Do you get this excited to eat Bread Sticks?!"

As you may know from previous posts, Thomas loves loves loves pizza, especially Pizza Hut! On Wednesday, we go to visit our sister and have delicious food too! This past week, I just had to video Thomas with his bread sticks, just to show you how over joyed he gets about bread sticks and pizza! Such enthusiasm and excitement can be found in his facial expressions and motions :)  And of course Thomas has his Angry Bird shirt on, we call this one, the infamous red bird!

What I most admire about Thomas, is that he appreciates all aspects of life, never taking anything for granted!

Painting The Wash Room!

Another busy week for us here! We have been soo busy trying to get our house ready, Thomas geared up for school, and trying to enjoy the last little bite of summer break!

Last week, I decided to paint our wash room, and Thomas was glad to be of assistance! He would help me by holding the handy paint container, so I could dip it in for more paint, when needed. We played Pandora radio while painting, and chit chatted about lots of things. Mostly about what we would be having for lunch :) Thomas and I worked up quite an appetite by the time we finished painting the room. So we made our way out of the house, to snap a picture of the helpful painting assistant, and to head out for lunch!
