Little Thomas visits BIG Thomas!

Over the past week, we have had a visitor in our home, and his name is Thomas too :) Due to the fact that there is already two Thomas's in our house hold, we devised a plan of action, when calling for the Thomas we wish to speak with. My dad who is also named Thomas, is called Dad or "Amanah" (which is the name Thomas gave him long ago.) Then there is Thomas, the special angel in which this blog is about, but we call him  "Big Thomas" or Woobie. And finally, there is our visitor and little buddy Thomas, who we call "Little Thomas" or "Baby!"

Little Thomas has been such a blessing to us over the past week! For one, he has been a wonderful buddy for Thomas to play with, as well as a great kid overall! (That can be attributed to his sweet mother, and her wonderful parenting!) They both have learned from each other, as well as helped look out for each other! There time together has helped them grow and slowly come more and more out of their shells!  Plus, my husband and I have no kids currently, and having him to take care of, has been such a joy, filling our hearts with love, and the hope of one day having our own little one :)

Since last week, we have gone to baseball games, swimming at the pool, out for haircuts, of course putt putt as in the last post, and lunches out, eating pizza :) YUMMM! Can't forget ice cream, chocolate of course!

Kids are wonderful additions to the lives of others! They are so impressionable and absorbent, when they are young, so always remember to watch what you say, and set a good example! In our house that mean's showing our love and sharing the love of Jesus!

And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.

Thomas's Fortress aka "His Room"

Thomas is famous for one thing, his VHS tapes! Yes that's right, VHS, most people know what they are, but to Thomas they are treasures! VHS tapes are becoming harder and harder to find, especially since no stores carry them anymore (by stores I mean..Target, Walmart, etc.) So where do we find them?? Thrift stores and online via Amazon or Ebay mainly! We gladly collect all Barney's, Wiggles, Teletubies, The Big Comfy Couch's, Land of The Lost, and The Dukes of Hazzard's. So if you have any you'd like to clean out of the attic or in your kid's stash, please let us know!

As you can see below, Thomas has lots and lots of VHS tapes, of which he keeps in a cabinet under his TV. Sad thing is that this is only a small portion of his "stash!" He has tapes at my house, the garage, and in storage boxes! Plus we are constantly ordering more, due to the breaking of some or the overuse of others.

VHS players are also becoming more and more scarce, but thrift stores make up for that :)
He even has multiple VHS tape re-winders, collectors items really, since the VHS players actually play and rewind too!

Thomas's room, as you can see, is pretty simple, yet describes him completely! He loves angry birds, thus the angry birds bedding! And he has a Slee-Stak poster from the 70's show, The Land of The Lost, one of his favorite shows! Plus cannot forget his artwork above his head-board too! He's proud of it as we are!

Thomas is a simple man to please, he loves his VHS tapes, and blares them loud and proud for all to hear! Trust me I know, I can quote and sing all of his tapes, and that is no joke :) Sometimes others in the house, can be heard singing along to the tape he is playing at that moment! Also there are times when I open up his door and start dancing and singing along to the tape too! He usually smiles and probably is thinking what is my crazy sister doing now?! But I know he still loves me so all is good :)

Just A Little Putt Putt!

Happy Tuesday All! Sorry for the delayed posts first off, we've had a busy last few days...but don't worry, we will catch you up! Today we ventured out to play a little putt putt golf! Captain's Challenge was the course we dared to take, and let me tell you, it was full of "piratety" adventures! We laughed and shouted with joy, for the boys and I were having fun whacking the ball! If the ball didn't go in they would either pick it up and try the next hole or simply place it in the cup with their hands to finish! Multiple hits were taking, so I didn't even bother to mess with a score sheet :) But what's the fun in that anyways! I got tickled by their reactions each hole, for some were expressions of joy or disappointment in the "shot" taken! As we wrapped up the final hole, all three of us were sweating from the intense round of golf! So we made our way to Dairy Queen next door...how convenient :) From there it was ice cream in the car and Scooby Doo on the dvd players!

This is Thomas playing putt putt golf his way! (I have proof of the sneaky duck) New putt putt rule: If the ball doesn't go in when trying to hit it with the stick, pick it up and place it in the cup!

Meet Thomas's New Dog, Cindy!

Since Christmas Thomas has been asking for a dog, but we hadn't found one he liked yet. He specifically asked for a dog like Max, which is my 3 year old Yorkie puppy! Max is the type of dog that will sleep with Thomas, cuddle with him, sit while he pets him, and simply a companion dog. So that was what we were looking for, someone like our Maxie! Well wouldn't you know, it must of been God who heard our prayers, and along came Cindy!

One night, our sister was driving home from work, and it had been raining pretty good mind you. As she came around a curve, she saw something on the side of the road. As she got out to see what it was, she noticed it was Miss Cindy, without a collar, cold and wet. The next day she drove all over to find out if anyone had lost a dog, just trying to find her owner. A couple weeks go by and no one claims her. So Cindy entered our home and captured all our hearts.

After a check up from the vet, Cindy got a clean bill of health, and is approximately a year to a year and a half old. She is just like Max in almost every way, just not the same color or gender :) God looked out for Thomas and sent Cindy our way, to be her forever home! God is SO good!

7th Heaven Play Date

Happy Wednesday All! It's the middle of the work week for most, but today has been a play date for Thomas, his cousins, and buddy little Thomas! Today's total was 7 kids all together, three dogs, and lots of imagining, game playing, and being silly! Let's just say there wasn't a dull moment or a cricket heard :) The kids first took a trip to Target, to search for Angry Bird toys! Ended up more like angry birds, squishy toys, and candy for the final purchases! Thomas sure did enjoy every minute of the play date! He always loves seeing the "babies" as he calls them, but mostly he enjoys kissing and running around with them! I try to keep the running to a minimum, but how can you play hide and seek without it?! Besides it was too hot to be outdoors with the kiddos today! I'm ready for Fall personally :)

Lunch was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, tea or water, oreos, and chips! Messy table of seven kiddos but the stories told were quite entertaining! There faces in the pictures tell all!

Blessings To All :)

Krispy Kreme Donuts!

First off Happy Tuesday to all! Today we ran errands and took at trip to the wonderful world that is the Krispy Kreme Doughnut. Hot and fresh doesn't even begin to describe this place, more like yummy, messy, and finger licking good! We took a look at the doughnut processing and making! Then we gazed at the mouth watering merchandise! Doesn't Thomas look adorable in Krispy Kreme hat :) Talk about a selection of doughnuts! We ended up purchasing a dozen assorted and drinks to go! Well wouldn't you know, we just had to get into the box! Thomas went first, with his pick of the chocolate iced glaze doughnut with rainbow sprinkles! I chose the original glazed, soooo good! You can tell from the pictures below of him, it wasn't bad at all. In his own words after he finished his doughnut was, "It's delicious!" I couldn't agree more good man!

Hope Everyone has a blessed rest of their Tuesday!

All Star Bowling

First off, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Thomas had a awesome start to the weekend. He and mom met up with his girlfriend Lauren and her mother to bowl a couple of games :) They play together on a team, in the All-Star's Bowling League. Their team name is called: "My Cats"...interesting name right?! However that was the name Lauren chose and Thomas gladly agreed. Both of them are thrilled and excited for Saturday bowling dates! Lauren and Thomas both have been known to stay up later than normal the night before, because they are anxious for the next time they will see each other. The pictures below describe the two of them perfectly! They both love their character shirts, lemonade/coke, and each other...awww! I know right :)

I however spent a weekend away from my buddy, and ventured for a mini-beach vacay with my hubby :) As much as we do love visiting the beach, we always miss Thomas when he is not with us! My husband and I catch ourselves using Thomas's lingo and speaking of him often! I can honestly say we never get tired of being around him! There simply isn't enough time with him!

Happy Sunday Everyone :)

Friday Pool Day!

Another scorcher outside yesterday! We spent most of Friday running errands and staying cool indoors! Although, we ended our day, playing in the pool with the boys! We had cannon ball contests, squirt wars, built floating houses, and floated!

Who doesn't love the pool?!

If your wondering how I am able to take pictures in or near water, I purchased this amazing case called LIFEPROOF! I am able to get the phone/case wet, swim under water six feet, shock, drop, and spill onto it without damage to the phone! AWESOME right?! I love the case, despite the high cost, it's well worth the money!

Have A Blessed Weekend Everyone!

Splish Splash!

Water Country USA or "Da Country" as Thomas calls it!

We had a blast today!! With temperatures in the 90's and with heat index, added up to 100 degrees outside! What better way to spend the day, then by cooling off and having fun!

We started the park visit with a ride down "Big Daddy Falls!" This ride is so much fun for Thomas because of the falling water and the twists and turns! Next we ventured to "Hubba Hubba Highway." Thomas and I went around this floating lazy river ride twice :) There are so many spraying sections and again more twists and turns! That's us in the highway above, in our adorable green life jackets! Next we headed on over to Thomas's favorite ride in the park, "Wild Thang!" It's a short two person ride, but so much fun! That's us riding "Wild Thang" in the last picture :)

On our way out of the park, we ran into another boy with Down Syndrome, named Nathaniel! He and his family had just arrived at the park and were about to begin their fun! We walked over and introduced ourselves. Thomas and Nathaniel shook hands...cutie pies :) We wished them lots of fun today, and headed on out of the park! Normally we finish our adventure at Water Country, with an ice cream sundae, but we hadn't eaten lunch yet! So wouldn't you know, the place of suggestion from Thomas was, none other than "Chicken Leg" aka Chick-fil-a! I swear we are going to turn into chickens one day, due to always eating there!

Happy Thursday Everyone :)
