Date Night

Another exciting weekend for us! Thomas had two separate dates with his girlfriend, Lauren. First Thomas joined a special olympics bowling league in Gloucester, I'd say about 20 handicap children and adults come together for this each Saturday and get this, it's only $6 per Saturday!!! They really enjoyed bowling and of course the snacks that came along with the two games :) Only thing is they make the kids switch lanes, just like in a actual serious bowling league, a little confusing to me and them, but we made the best of it! Next date involved Lauren coming over for a play date! They enjoyed a movie and snacks on the couch together, along with dinner too. It was so cute because Thomas decided on the meal the day before, which consisted of : pork chops, mac n' cheese, and green beans :) Then Thomas showed off his room and VHS collection (literally 100 + tapes...no joke) and they watched Barney and the Wiggles together...so cute :) I should of photographed it!

Few facts about Thomas and Lauren:

Thomas and Lauren met in 2008, when he entered into his freshman year of high school. As you would say, it was LOVE at first sight! Since then they've attended three homecomings and two prom's. Thomas "graduated" in 2012 but thankfully is able to attend high school til he is 23 years old. This is great for him because outside of school he has few hobbies and interactions with other people with disabilities close to or about his age. School truly has been a blessing for Thomas, he has made so many friends and met so many people, he truly is like a celebrity everywhere we go!
